Travel
Verbier, Switzerland is situated in the Val des Bagnes
BY PLANE
The closest airport is Geneva, from which Verbier is easily accessible. Geneva offers frequent flights to and from most European destinations, including cities all around the UK, as well as capitals in America, Africa, Asia and the Middle East (for those traveling from Australia).
Transfer time by car from Geneva is approximately 1 hour 45 minutes and transfer by train (our recommendation) is approximately 2 hours.
From Zurich airport, transfer time by car or train is approximately 3.5 hours.
BY TRAIN
Verbier can be easily accessed by high-speed train with a regular service that operates from Geneva and Zurich airports, via Martigny, arriving in Le Châble (in the valley below Verbier) in approximately 2 hours. From here you are only 10 minutes from the center of Verbier, and can catch a bus, take a taxi, or jump on the télécabine to the resort.
The train is by far the most scenic way to travel to Verbier. From Geneva, the route skirts Lake Geneva for half the journey, and you are treated to beautiful lake vistas with mountains in the background. Trains are large and very comfortable, and of course being Swiss they are always on time.
There’s usually no need to reserve a ticket, and you can buy these at the machines in the airport before boarding, or in Le Châble before your return journey. If you're super organised, download the SBB App and pre-book.
Gifts
Many of you are travelling a long way to come celebrate with us, so we do not expect any gifts.

If you feel compelled, which we do not expect, a cash gift would be best (we don't need more stuff).
